FotoFont exports standard TrueType (.ttf) font files. These are compatible with virtually all operating systems (macOS, Windows, iOS, Android), design applications (Figma, Adobe Creative Suite, Canva), and web platforms.

Yes. Fonts you create from your own handwriting are entirely yours. You can use them for personal projects, commercial work, branding, merchandise, or distribute them however you like.

FotoFont currently supports eight writing systems: Latin, Cyrillic, Greek, Arabic, Devanagari, Katakana, Hiragana, and Hangul. Each script includes the full set of characters needed for standard writing in that system.

The free version includes the base character set for each script (e.g., 52 Latin characters: 26 uppercase + 26 lowercase). The premium subscription unlocks additional character groups including numbers, punctuation, and special symbols.

Subscriptions are managed through Apple. To cancel:

1. Open Settings on your iPhone or iPad
2. Tap your name at the top (Apple ID)
3. Tap Subscriptions
4. Find FotoFont and tap Cancel Subscription

You'll continue to have access to premium features until the end of your current billing period.

After exporting your font from FotoFont, you can share the .ttf file to a font installer app (such as iFont or Fontcase) which will create a configuration profile to install it system-wide. Alternatively, you can AirDrop the file to your Mac and install it there.

No. Your photos are sent to our server only for processing (character detection and font building) and are immediately discarded after the result is returned. We do not store any images or font data on our servers. All your fonts are stored locally on your device. See our Privacy Policy for details.
