These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the FotoFont mobile application ("the app") and related services. By downloading or using FotoFont, you agree to these Terms.
1. Use of the App
FotoFont allows you to create TrueType font files from photographs of your handwriting. You may use the app for personal and commercial purposes, subject to these Terms.
You agree not to:
- Reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble the app
- Use the app to create fonts from handwriting that is not your own without the writer's consent
- Interfere with or disrupt the app's servers or infrastructure
- Use the app for any unlawful purpose
2. Intellectual Property
Your Content
You retain all rights to your handwriting, photographs, and the font files you create using FotoFont. We claim no ownership over your content. Fonts you create are yours to use, share, and distribute as you see fit.
Our Content
The FotoFont app, including its design, code, branding, and documentation, is protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, or distribute the app itself.
3. Subscriptions & Purchases
FotoFont offers a free tier with base character sets (letters) and an optional premium subscription that unlocks additional character groups (numbers, punctuation, and symbols).
Subscription Terms
- Subscriptions are billed through Apple's App Store and are subject to Apple's terms and pricing.
- Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period.
- You can manage or cancel your subscription in your device's Settings > Apple ID > Subscriptions.
- No refunds are provided for partial billing periods. Refund requests must be directed to Apple.
Price Changes
We reserve the right to change subscription pricing. You will be notified of any price changes in advance, and changes will not affect your current billing period.
4. Disclaimers
FotoFont is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not guarantee that:
- The app will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure
- Character detection will be perfectly accurate for all handwriting styles
- Generated fonts will be compatible with every application or platform
5. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, FotoFont and its developers shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the app, including but not limited to loss of data, loss of profits, or damages resulting from font files that do not render as expected.
6. Termination
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the app if you violate these Terms. You may stop using the app at any time by deleting it from your device.
7. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States. Any disputes shall be resolved in accordance with applicable law.
8. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
